Digicel Jamaica APN Settings (2026)

If your Digicel Jamaica SIM isn’t connecting to mobile data, or you’ve swapped phones and data stopped working, the APN (Access Point Name) settings below will fix it. These settings work for both prepaid and postpaid Digicel Jamaica SIMs.

Note: Digicel may update these settings without notice. If data isn’t working after applying these settings, check digicel.com/jamaica or contact Digicel support at 123 from your Digicel number.

Data APN settings

These settings control general mobile internet. Apply them any time your phone shows “No internet” or your data icon is missing after inserting a Digicel SIM.

MMS APN settings

MMS (picture messages / group texts) uses a separate APN. You only need this if you can’t send or receive picture messages. Most modern messaging apps (WhatsApp, iMessage) don’t use MMS at all.

How to add APN on Android

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Connections (Samsung) or Network & internet (stock Android)
  3. Tap Mobile networks
  4. Tap Access Point Names (APN)
  5. Tap the + or Add button
  6. Enter each field from the Data APN table above
  7. Save and select the new APN by tapping the circle next to it
  8. Restart your phone

Menu paths vary by Android manufacturer and version. On Samsung devices, look for Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access Point Names.

How to set APN on iPhone

iPhones with a Digicel SIM should auto-configure APN settings when the SIM is first detected — Digicel sends these over-the-air. If data isn’t working:

  1. Go to Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data Options → Cellular Network
  2. Under APN, type: internet
  3. Leave Username and Password blank
  4. Back out — iOS saves automatically

iPhone troubleshooting: If the “Cellular Network” option is greyed out, your carrier profile may be preventing manual changes. Try removing and reinserting the SIM, then check Settings → General → VPN & Device Management for any carrier profiles to remove.

Hotspot / tethering

Digicel Jamaica hotspot uses the same internet APN as regular data. No separate APN is needed for hotspot. Enable it from:

  • Android: Settings → Connections → Mobile Hotspot and Tethering
  • iPhone: Settings → Personal Hotspot

Hotspot capability depends on your Digicel plan. Some prepaid plans restrict tethering — check your plan details or call 123.

Still not working? Troubleshooting steps

  1. Restart the phone after saving APN settings — this is required for changes to take effect.
  2. Check your balance. Prepaid data doesn’t work if your balance is zero or your data plan is expired. Dial 114 from your Digicel number to check.
  3. Toggle airplane mode. Turn it on for 10 seconds, then off. This forces the phone to re-register on the Digicel network.
  4. Delete old APNs. If you previously had different settings, remove them and leave only the Digicel Jamaica data APN. Conflicting APNs cause the phone to pick the wrong one.
  5. Update carrier settings (iPhone). Settings → General → About → if a carrier update is available, a prompt will appear.
  6. Try a different network mode. If you’re in an area with patchy 5G, force the phone to LTE-only (4G) — Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Network mode.

Verify your Digicel connection

Once data is working, you can confirm it’s routing through Digicel’s network (not a cached connection or Wi-Fi) by checking your IP:

Check my IP on Digicel →

If the ISP shown is “Digicel Jamaica”, data is routing correctly through AS33576 or AS40786 — Digicel’s registered network numbers.
